LGR Dehumidifier

LGR Dehumidifier

The LGR is a compact dehumidifier that is designed to fit in smaller spaces. Dehumidifiers are an essential part of the water damage process and they are highly effective when paired with air movement.

How To Use the LGR for Water Damage

Watch the video to learn more about LGR dehumidifiers and how to operate them. It will also help you estimate the amount of units required for your project.

Quick Fact Sheet

Water Drainage

This device removes moisture for the air. As a result, it generates water during operation. Users will attach the provided draining tube and direct it into a sink or drainage area.

Clearance

Do not block any side of the device. It requires ventilation in order to be as efficient as possible.

Progress

Monitor moisture levels to ensure there is enough air movement and dehumidification. You may need to add additional units if the drying goal won’t be met in a timely fashion.

Activity

Run the machine continuously for best results. Shutting the dehumidifier off for temporary periods will increase drying times.

FAQ

  • Dehumidifiers work by drawing in moist air, cooling it to condense the water vapor into liquid, and then expelling the drier air back into the room.

  • Use the provided drainage tube to make sure the water is emptying into a sink, that way the machine doesn’t leak onto the floor.

  • Yes, this device is designed to run continuously. It can also be shut off and on as needed.

  • Place the dehumidifier in the most affected area, ideally in a central location to maximize airflow. Ensure it has adequate clearance on all sides for proper operation.

  • The goal is generally to reach and maintain a relative humidity (RH) below 60%, ideally between 30-50% during the drying process.

  • Fans and other types of air movement may cause water to evaporate. If that evaporated water isn’t captured by a device such as the LGR, then the room will remain humid and drying power will be diminished. Using a combination of air movement and dehumidifiers is essential for proper drying.
